Jingle to announce, etc. Here is the server log with Podcasts and Player.source set to info. Perhaps a bed to go under the news/weather. NOR HOURLY NEWS INSTALLQuote from: rogiermaas on February 19, 2015, 01:34:08 AM Perhaps you might want to install a second RadioDJ-instance with a new database and insert two tracks there: the news (VDF) and the weather (VDF). Then it waits for the next event, doing nothing.īoth RadioDJ's should 'play' to the same soundcard and you should use an encoder that reads input from a soundcard, not the internal player using some encoder plugin. So no matter how long or short the news or weather is, RadioDJ 2 will always wait until the news has finished and then load the URL, telling RadioDJ 1 to un-pause. NOR HOURLY NEWS MANUALUsing the manual event, call a URL that connects with the REST-server on RadioDJ 1, telling it to resume playback. (Load news-anouncer to TOP, fading in 1s so that the show playing isn't paused abruptly) Load track from database: News (Variable Duration File) to TOP Load track from database: Weather (Variable Duration File) to TOP Load Manual Event: Un-pause RadioDJ 1 to TOP RadioDJ 2: Event at xx:59:58 Clear Playlist RadioDJ 1: Event at xx:59:59 pause the show Perhaps you might want to install a second RadioDJ-instance with a new database and insert two tracks there: the news (VDF) and the weather (VDF). You have to make a folder ''THE NAME YOU WANT'' in the C: and then double clic on the file to get it.Once done you have to import it in RadioDJ like usual.under News.Įverything goes fine. But looking a way to configure it in the EVENT. If objFSO.Fileexists(strHDLocation) Then objFSO.DeleteFile strHDLocation Set objFSO = Createobject("Scripting.FileSystemObject") ObjADOStream.Position = 0 'Set the stream position to the start ObjADOStream.Write objXMLHTTP.ResponseBody Set objADOStream = CreateObject("ADODB.Stream") Set objXMLHTTP = CreateObject("MSXML2.XMLHTTP") StrHDLocation = "C:\MANCHETTES\METEO.mp3" I'm assuming it's correct as I followed Marius' instructions in another thread but I'd like to make sure is all. The TuneIn site does say that it can take some time before the info starts showing but I was wondering if there's any way to check that it's setup properly in the first place. NOR HOURLY NEWS ANDROIDI setup the Web Export for the TuneIn API last night but I'm still not seeing the artist or title showing on their website (works fine on their Android app without doing anything as far as API goes). Thanks for taking the time to reply though! I suppose I could use another program to accomplish the same thing, but I'd like to keep the number of running programs to a minimum since I'm currently limited to 1GB RAM on the VPS (without paying more per month - I don't make any revenue off the stream). Only problem with that is, I don't have the PHP skills to make it happen. NOR HOURLY NEWS DOWNLOADI did think of a way to accomplish this by having a script or something download the mp3 to a local folder on the server and have it just overwrite the previous one. When I had it in the Aux player and RadioDJ restarted, it was gone. The only reason I switched to using the carts was because I could set those and save them so they'd still be there if/when the server restarted. Unfortunately, I tried that already and had the same result. The link I'm using for the news track (as stream) is: Is there something I'm missing or an alternative way to play the news so it updates (I'm assuming because it never hits the playlist, it caches whatever played first) and doesn't interfere with what was playing? This works great, except for the fact that the news plays whatever was played the first time the cart button was played, over and over and never updates. Next, I created an event that does the following: pause playback of current show - play intro (cart button 1) - wait for 8 seconds (for intro to play) - play news stream - wait for 290 seconds (for news to play) - unpause show that was playing previously. Then I assigned my intro to cart button 1 and the news to cart button 2. What I did was, record an intro for news and added the NPR hourly news as a stream under the News category. Since I'm playing long radio shows which can range from less than an hour to 3 , I didn't work the news in via track rotation. NOR HOURLY NEWS WINDOWSFirst off, the newest version of RDJ is working beautifully on my Windows VPS! Well done, Marius, as usual! Now for my issue.
